Let it Snow on Hallmark Channel

Category: Television and Streaming

Candace Cameron Bure and Jesse Hutch star in Let it Snow, a Hallmark Channel original movie. This is the story of the spirit and love of the season.

Stephanie Beck (Bure) works with her father Ted (Alan Thicke) who is the owner and president of Falcon Resorts. Both Becks are dedicated to their jobs so when Stephanie is sent to Maine to check on their latest acquisition, Snow Valley Lodge, she understands that the reason she is going to this mom and pop resort is to ascertain how to rebuild the property into a resort worthy of the Falcon name. This means bulldozing the current structures and building a great resort serving young singles.

Stephanie, who lives in Phoenix, has never seen a snowfall and proclaims she is not a winter person. She is more comfortable in high heels and dresses than snowshoes and parkas.

Snow Valley Lodge is currently owned (until Falcon takes over) and operated by the Lewis family. It has been in their family for three generations, but Brady Lewis (Hutch) does not want to take over, so they are selling to Falcon. Brady had dreams of bringing the lodge into the 21st century with new additions and even snowmobiles, however his father was adamant that nothing changed on the property, and that included noisy machines. He wanted to maintain everything the way his father and grandfather had it.

The lengths the Lewis family goes to to create an amazing and memorable Christmas for their guests overwhelm Stephanie. Their clientele is loyal and like family when they all get together at Snow Valley. That’s definitely not what Falcon Resorts has in mind.

The week Stephanie spends at Snow Valley changes her life forever. She and Brady start out as Grinchs. Neither of them enjoys the holiday. However, both of them discover the wonder and love of the season, and yes, their love for each other. (You didn’t think there wouldn’t be any romance, did you?) Stephanie, for the first time in her life sees the holiday as a time for joy. She says, “Christmas is “a gift of love that binds us all together.”

Ted Beck thinks Christmas is a merchandising extravaganza and balks at his daughter’s idea of keeping the lodge as it is and adding to it instead of scraping it and starting from scratch.  Stephanie is caught between what she feels is right and what he father wants, and Brady is caught in the same dilemma.

Let it Snow is a cute little holiday film about the spirit of Christmas, the loyalty of family, and family love. While the scenery and setting is cold, this is a warm and fuzzy little movie. It premiers Saturday, November 30, 2013 on Hallmark Channel.
