New fun ‘Star Wars’ interactive pals at Disneyland

Star Wars fans – get ready to bring home a new pal. Droid Depot in Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has some fun new Ewoks for you.
Ewoks have long been favorite characters among fans of the Sci-fi franchise. These furry little fellows are full of spunk and their expressions melt hearts. They are, to put it bluntly, absolutely adorable.
Now guests to Disneyland can bring home their very own little interactive Ewok. And, with the variety of outfits, customizing your little guy makes him (is your Ewok male or female?) perfect. Three additional gear sets to outfit your Ewok are an extra price.
This little Ewok is the first of three new interactive Batuu Adventure Buddies. True Star Wars fans will undoubtedly want them all.
The little guys are motorized which allows for facial expressions. And they have sounds that go along with their personalities. Besides this fun feature, they will surprise you with some actions.
Here’s how to interact with your new Ewok:
Tap once on its head or twice on its tummy and see what happens. Now tap three times on his head for more fun:
- Endor Dance Party: Rhythmic eye animations and Ewokese chanting/drumming sounds. Nearby Ewoks may also chime in.
- Forest Call Chain: Rapid double belly tap near other toys, letting out a scout call and allowing nearby toys to respond in their own languages.
While we were not able to test these for a full product review, they do look cute from the images supplied by Disneyland. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to handle, test, and review the Ewok soon.
