‘Snoopy Presents: There’s no place like home, Snoopy’ on Apple TV

To start with their spring cleaning, Charlie Brown and Sally set up a yard sale where Sally is intent on making money selling all their old items, but Charlie is not too anxious to sell his old baseball items.
To say she is overzealous is an understatement. Sally is excited to get rid of old things to make room for new ones. And, as a bonus, she is expecting to earn a lot of money doing this.
With the bottom line being a hefty profit, Sally sells everything in the yard. Well, all except the grass. Snoopy’s doghouse is collateral damage from her exuberance.
Upon discovering his beloved doghouse is gone, Snoopy is inconsolable. His doghouse is where he writes his novels. It is where his World War I Flying Ace takes on The Red Barron. It is where he plays with Woodstock. It is where he has his keepsakes. It is where he sleeps. Most of these take place on top of the house, but nevertheless, they all happen at his little red doghouse.
Snoopy is not impressed with any of the doghouses when they go shopping for a replacement. None of them meet the standards of this little beagle. What is Snoopy without his doghouse?
This show is heartwarming as Snoopy and Charlie Brown reminisce about the first day Snoopy joined the Brown family. And Snoopy recalls how he met Woodstock – on top of his doghouse. Where else?
Snoopy and Charlie Brown set out on their Sherlock and Watson investigation to track down the beloved doghouse. If they find the kid who bought it, will they be able to get it back? There’s the rub.
This show is a fun look at the Peanuts characters, with the classic kids as well as some of the lesser-seen characters.
Besides the main characters – Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Pig Pen, Sally, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Snoopy, Woodstock, and Franklin – other Peanuts kids are there to check out the sale: Patty, Violet, Shermy, Rerun, Frieda, Milo, Austin, Ruby, and Leland.
Including the lesser-known kids in this film is a treat. For those who have grown up with the gang, and those who have followed them through the decades, these appearances are a bit of nostalgia.
The Goose Eggs first appeared in 1977. This little baseball team has yet to score a run. They do have heart though, as well as confidence they will make it onto the scoreboard sometime. Milo, Austin, Ruby, and Leland are adorable, and seeing them again will bring a smile to viewers, even for those who have never heard of them. This foursome is overlooked in most of the shows.
In the end, Franklin’s philosophy hits home for Charlie Brown (no pun intended). He says things are replaceable, and a home is made of memories and family. Those are the important things. Those are what really count.
And, in the end, the entire gang helps Snoopy begin anew. As Charlie Brown tells him, “We’re in this together.” That alone will melt the hearts of viewers.
What a great message for young and old. The Peanuts kids always hit the mark when it comes to understanding life.
The Peanuts gang has entertained, enlightened, and touched the hearts of millions over the decades.
Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy is another Peanuts treasure and a “must watch” story. It will definitely be another Peanuts classic.
