Numerixa: Ocean Reader

Numerixa: Ocean Reader is a bilingual reading comprehension app for children ages 5–10, built on a simple idea: kids should be asked what they actually understood, not just what they heard. While most reading apps stop at “did you listen to the story,” Ocean Reader’s story missions pause to ask real comprehension questions — recalling facts, understanding cause and effect, making predictions, and reading between the lines — the same skills a great teacher would check for.

Every story, question, and hint is available in true bilingual English and Spanish — not machine-translated subtitles, but real, natural content in both languages. Children explore six ocean zones with friendly sea creature guides, earning stars and discovering aquarium companions as they build real reading skills, not just tapping through pages.

Parents get a genuine window into their child’s progress: a skill-by-skill breakdown, a shareable progress report, and insight into where their child needs a little extra support — all without ads, accounts, or any collection of personal data. Everything stays on the child’s own device.

Ocean Reader was built for families who want screen time that actually builds something — comprehension, confidence, and a love of reading in two languages.
