Trump International Hotel -- Las Vegas

trump hotel las vegas

Rising like a gold pillar in the Las Vegas skyline, The Trump hotel is a beautiful sight.  There are no fancy gimmicks in the front of the building. There is no rollercoaster or dancing fountain. What the Trump offers is a Las Vegas experience like no other. At least that’s the way it was for me.

The Trump is both a hotel and a condominium, with many people calling it “home.”  There is 24-hour in-room dining as well as a signature restaurant, spa, fitness center, and a swimming pool. What they don’t have is gaming. Yep, no casino exists in the building. And that means no loud noise. The Trump is also a smoke-free building, so for people like me who are allergic to smoke, it was truly a breath of fresh air (no pun intended) whenever I entered the building.

The Trump is especially a great hotel for families.  Parents can indulge in the spa, and the pool is great for kids of all ages. The hotel supplies complimentary shuttles to many parts of the city and the Fashion Show Shopping Mall is right across the street from the Trump. Plus, there are activities for kids with the Trump Kids program.

The food at the hotel is wonderful, however if you want to explore other restaurants, there are some great ones in Las Vegas, including dozens of buffets.  The hotel concierge (on duty 24 hours) can supply you with all the information you need to select exactly what you and your family want to do or eat.

The Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas stands over 600 feet tall and is encased in 24-karat gold glass. It is visible from almost anywhere in the city. The hotel has 1,282 suites including 880 Studios, 352 One-Bedroom Suites, 20 One-Bedroom Penthouse Suites, 20 Two-Bedroom Penthouse Suites, and 10 Three-Bedroom Penthouse Suites.

And if you are wondering if Donald stays there when he’s in town, the answer is “Yes.” Donald Trump and his kids use the Trump as their home whenever they are in Las Vegas.

Let me make one additional note about the amenities in the rooms. The Trump doesn’t have mirrors on the ceilings like some of the gauche hotels in the city. But they do have a television in the bathroom mirrors! Imagine watching TV while brushing your teeth, shaving, drying your hair, or just primping. That’s a luxury, not to mention fun.

The Trump has no self-parking. It is all complimentary valet parking, which is good for some people and bad for others. But there is no having to search for a parking place when you return to the hotel. That’s a plus.

To sum it up, the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas is sheer class. The amenities are first rate and they treat everyone there like an honored guest. I have never experienced Las Vegas like this before. It was a pleasure returning to the hotel without all the chaos and smoke that are so prevalent in other casinos.

The next time you are planning a family vacation or just a romantic getaway to Las Vegas, check out The Trump for a unique way of experiencing the city.
