‘Toast to Italy’ airs on Hallmark

Torrey DeVitto stars in the new Hallmark original movie Toast to Italy, about love, marriage, family, and above all, wine. Jenny (DeVitto) is a radiologist who takes time away from her duties to travel to Italy in search of the illusive “Love Wine,” a special vintage that is said to be magical when it comes to love. Everyone in her family has toasted their weddings with the wine, and her sister is relying on that wine to bless her own marriage.

The thing is, the wine is very rare. It is so rare there might be only one bottle in all of Italy. And, as luck would have it, that bottle is up for auction. So, being the loving sister she is, Jenny travels to Rome to bid on the bottle and bring in back for her sister’s wedding.

Unfortunately, Arrigo (Will Kemp) is also intent on bidding for the bottle. He is a journalist writing an article about this special “Love Wine” and will stop at nothing to get the last bottle.

But things don’t go according to either of their plans. With the bottle gone to a third person, Jenny joins with Arrigo to track down a possible second bottle, and along the way they meet members of Jenny’s Italian family. And, as a special surprise, Jenny learns her grandfather once owned the vineyard that produced the special wine. What other familial tidbits will she uncover during their quest?

Okay, we all know how this is going to end. After all, Hallmark movies are designed for the fans to feel happy and content at the end. They have that in common. It is the middle of every story that makes it unique, and traveling from town to town in Italy makes this very unique.

The Italian landscape is stunning. Viewers will feel like they are watching a travel show, with a romance story sprinkled in.

DeVitto posted on Facebook, “I truly had such an incredible time filming ‘Toast to Italy.’ And sure, working with @iamwillkemp wasn’t too bad either.”

Actually, the pairing of DeVitto and Kemp is top notch. They make a great couple and watching them is a treat for Hallmark fans.

Toast to Italy premieres August 1, 2026 on Hallmark Channel and streams August 2, 2026 on Hallmark+.
