The ultimate vehicle for teaching kids as young as 18 months old the skills they need to ride a bike. The 12 Sport is the perfect bike to take your child from baby steps to big strides, all without busting out a toolkit (tool-free seat and handlebar adjustment AND tires that never go flat). The Strider Sport has a seat height range from 28-48 cm (11-19 in.), which means it fits a huge range of inseam lengths (30-51 cm [12-20 in.]). The cushy, padded seat and an additional extra-long seatpost means your child will get years out of their Strider.
Strider Balance Bikes are not just designed to act as toys, but to deliver an exceptional riding experience, accelerating a child’s development and fostering their love for cycling and the great outdoors. Unlike traditional pedal bikes, Strider balance bikes allow kids to use their feet on the ground to ride to enhance bike-riding learning, allowing them to learn the critical skills of balance and coordination, while gaining confidence and having fun. Research has shown that children who start their biking journey with a balance bike are able to begin as early as 18 months and will be riding pedal bikes by age 4. This is significantly earlier than kids who start with training wheels, hitting this milestone 2 years earlier than the kids who started with pedal bikes.
Strider Balance Bikes
Mission:
At Strider, we love riding bikes, and we love inspiring kids to ride. Our mission is to build lightweight, efficient, all-terrain bikes that develop two-wheeled balance, coordination, and confidence in children.
Who we are:
Since our inception, we’ve been unique. We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t buck tradition and defy the norms. It’s just who we are. From day one, inspiring kids to ride has been our number one priority. Our bikes give kids the confidence they need to be the riding pioneers that future generations will look up to. When Strider first hit the scene (over 15 years ago, it’s hard to imagine), it was completely normal for a child to not learn how to ride a bike until after age five (which also took a series of bruises, scrapes, and nasty falls). What’s heartbreaking though, is that some children never achieved this life-changing skill after losing confidence in themselves. It only takes one time experiencing a scarring fall to change the course of a child’s life forever. We changed all that with the Strider Bike.
